Quick question about mascot: what if you've pick something that you want people to associate with you / your blog / etc, but people associate you with a totally different thing? Should you ask people, and just mold your brand to fit that…or something else? It might be because of poor branding in the first place – people weren't clear of your vision, and so whatever about you was dominate at the time has become your "mascot". Ah, the things I have to fix.īranding shouldn't be stressful, either It should be a reflection of your personality, projected into the internet world – in short, BE REAL. I need to work on a font combination + mascot. At the moment, my brand has a lot of teal, white, and brown in it. I love woodsy colors – that would be my ideal color scheme, but alas it hasn't happened that way. Even if I don't particularly "like" the colors or style someone chooses for their brand, I am still attracted to it because it's cohesive and it flows so much that my brain is kind of tricked into liking it. The thing with branding, too, is that you admire it subconsciously wherever you go. This post made me realize all the little holes I have in my brand – a sign I need to work on it, ha. Branding is THE thing that makes your internet presence stick with people. Okay first I want to say: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS POST.
